The soft interior protects as a cushion against drops and shocks. The corners are protected well with this interior as well. The hard shell exterior packages it up with additional protection and gives an amazing and expensive looking finish. There are many cases on the market, and many look pretty, but the actual protection can be questionable. This is not an armor style or defender case. This is not an extreme protection case. But for everyday good protection this is great. My grandson grabs and drops my phone quite often. After several weeks of use my phone is still scratch and crack free. The case still looks amazing and I give my phone and cases a work out. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a sturdy, yet thin case for their phone.
